Intro to the Performing Arts Industry

This 1-day course equips young musicians with the basic understanding of the performing arts industry. The focus will be on starting and running your own chamber music ensemble, up-start orchestra, solo career, and small not-for-profit music organizations.

We will cover: Booking, Contracting, Touring, Recording, Video, Branding, Social Media, Networking, Fundraising, and Education/Community Engagement.

Date: July 3 & 10 - 10am-1pm

Where: Saltlands Studio, 68 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201

Cost: $100 per person

 

Chamber Music Ensemble Business Intensive

This 1-day course is geared towards ensembles that are already formed and have at least 1 year of history together. You do not need to be a professional touring ensemble, but you must have continuity in the group. We will take an in depth look at the performing arts industry and work through specifics that pertain to your ensemble.

We will cover: Booking, Contracting, Touring, Recording, Video, Branding, Social Media, Networking, Fundraising, and Education/Community Engagement.

Date: July 5 & 12 - 10am-4pm

Where: Saltlands Studio, 68 Jay Street, Brooklyn, NY 11201

Cost: $100 per person
